How to Make Hair Soft

You might not notice the softness of your hair until it's not soft. Having soft hair isn't impossible, even for those with very curly locks. It'll take some time and work if your hair is damaged, but anyone can achieve soft hair. When you treat your hair with a little TLC, you can improve its condition and how soft it feels to the touch.

Instructions

    • 1
Use moisturizing products on your hair. Having enough moisture in your hair will make it softer. When shopping for shampoo and conditioner, look for products that are formulated for dry hair types.
    • 2
Wash your hair at least once a week, but don't use shampoo every day. Too much shampooing can cause drying. If you need to wet your hair daily, use conditioner and comb through your hair well.
    • 3
Concentrate conditioner on the ends of your hair, not the roots. The ends of your hair are older and more prone to dryness.
    • 4
Trim split ends regularly. You can either go to a hair stylist to have this service done or you can do this yourself if you're careful. Every three months, trim about 1/4 inch off the ends of your hair. This gets rid of dried and dead ends and prevents splitting hairs from getting worse.
    • 5
Sleep in a satin cap or on a silky or satin pillowcase. This is very important for people with very curly and/or dry hair. Regular cotton pillowcases rob hair of its moisture, making it drier and less soft.
    • 6
Use mousse and pomade instead of gel. Gel sometimes contain alcohol, which dries out the hair.
    • 7
Wear your hair in protective styles during the colder months of the year. Protective styles include braids, buns and updos. These styles protect your hair from harsh winter air.

How to Dye Hair Without Making a Mess

Instructions

    • 1
Prepare your dying area. Lay an old towel that you don't mind getting damaged on the counter top. Cover the floor where you will be standing with old towels, sheets or even garbage bags. Set out a wet rag or box of baby wipes so that you will be prepared for any spills.
    • 2
Cover yourself. Wear comfortable clothes that you do not mind ruining. Put on plastic gloves and leave them on throughout the coloring process.
    • 3
Mix your color on the towel that you have put on the counter top. Discard the dye packaging inside a plastic bag so that your trashcan is not covered in dye.
    • 4
Use petroleum jelly around your hairline to prevent your skin from becoming stained by the dye. If any hair dye does get on your skin wipe it off immediately.
    • 5
Move carefully while coloring your hair. Quick movements can easily fling color onto the walls of your home. While the color is processing don't lean against any walls or furniture. Wearing a plastic shower cap can prevent drips and stains.
    • 6
Remove the bowl, bottle or other tools that you used to mix your hair dye from the sink area after you have cleaned it. It will stain the porcelain.
    • 7
Rinse out the hair dye in the shower with your head leaning as far backwards as possible. The less contact the dye has with your face, the better. Rinse your hair until the water is running clear or you will drip dye when you get out of the shower. If dye splatters in your shower clean it off right away.

How to Thicken Hair With Organin Hair Loss Treatment

Organin hair loss treatment is a natural hair loss remedy, that instantly eliminates the appearance of thinning hair and baldness. Organin works equally well for men and women, and is very easy to use. Here's how to thicken hair with Organin hair loss treatment.

Difficulty:

Easy

Instructions

First you need to wash and dry your hair to get the optimal thickening results. Organin Hair loss treatment works best in hair that is clean because excess oil and residue can prevent it from adhering to the hair properly.

Next, fix your hair the way that you would normally do it. If you use any hair thickening gels or creams, now is a great time to put them in, but don't overdo it.

Sprinkle the Organin over the balding or thinning areas very lightly and slowly. Do this until you can't see your scalp anymore.

After this, use your fingers and the bottom of your hand to carefully pat the Organin further down into your scalp. This helps it attach to your existing hair and create a natural look.

Top it off with something to hold your hair in place. This could be a firm hair spray or hair mist. Now you're done using the Organin hair loss treatment, and on your way to thicker, fuller hair.

How to Make a Homemade Hair Treatment

You can create several hair care treatments from ingredients found in your kitchen. Homemade hair treatments are often as effective as salon treatments and cost you considerably less. So take a minute and mix up a recipe to make your hair look healthy and shiny.

Difficulty:

Moderately Easy

Instructions

Create a rinse for shiny hair. Beer, lemon juice and vinegar can all be used to bring out the shine in your hair. Mix one of these products with water and apply after shampooing.

Use baking soda to make a hair treatment. Mixing a small amount of baking soda into your shampoo will assist in removing excess grease and dirt.

Blend almond oil, honey and hair conditioner to create a treatment for frizzy hair. Leave the mixture on the hair for 20 minutes and then rinse it out.

Make your own hot oil treatment. To deeply condition your hair, use a homemade hot oil treatment at least twice a month. Warm olive oil and soybean oil and place on your hair. Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes and then shampoo the mixture out.

Put eggs in your homemade hair treatment. Eggs provide the hair with protein that is essential for healthy hair. Eggs and honey can be blended together to encourage healthy hair growth.

Tips & Warnings

You should always use the homemade hair treatments immediately after making them. The food products will go bad if they sit out for an extended amount of time.

Do not use any homemade hair treatments that contain ingredients that you are allergic to.

How to Make Natural Treatments for Dry Hair

Make Natural Treatments for Dry Hair

Hot oil treatments, deep conditioners and all natural hair care products found in the beauty section of your local grocery store are expensive and rarely 100% natural. What's more, name brand treatments often make troubled hair worse, as the product build-up and chemical content damage delicate hair. Every woman wants beautiful, frizz free manageable hair quickly and easily, and now you can get it. These all-natural dry hair treatments are fun, affordable and a snap to make.

Difficulty:

Moderately Easy

Things You'll Need:

Coconut oil

Double boiler

Warm towel

Large ripe avocado

Natural honey

1 egg

1/2 teaspoon of Vitamin E oil

3/4 cups lukewarm water

1/2 cup natural yogurt

1 banana

Instructions

Make a coconut hot oil treatment for dry hair by heating 2 or 3 tablespoons of coconut oil in a double boiler. The amount of oil needed will depend on your hair length. Apply the warm oil to wet hair and wrap your head with a warm towel, allowing the oil to set for 20 to 30 minutes. Wash and dry as normal.

Combine one large ripe avocado and 1 tablespoon of natural honey, mashing until smooth. Avocado is a deep penetrating moisturizer that will leave dry hair silky smooth. Honey helps to clear the hair and pours of product build-up. Apply to your hair and allow to set for 20 or 30 minutes before washing and drying as normal.

Beat an egg until frothy stir in a half teaspoon of Vitamin E oil and 3/4 cups of lukewarm water. Apply this natural conditioner to your hair daily as you would your normal conditioner to prevent and treat dry, brittle hair.

Blend 1/2 cup of natural whole yogurt with one banana. Wash your hair and apply the conditioner evenly from scalp to tip. Allow the conditioner to set for 20 to 30 minutes before rinsing and drying

Tips...

Depends what your doing. darkening your hair colour will cause less damage.

Bleaching it can make it dry and straw like.

Also if you want to go back to your natural colour, you just have to wait for your hair to grow out.

How to Tease Straight Hair

Even since it came into fashion in the 1600s, high-volume hair has been a sure-fire way to add drama to any look. Teasing, or "backcombing," is one of the best ways to get that extra body, whether you're aiming for major height, or just a little something extra.

Instructions

  1. Spray all of your hair with hairspray to give it texture.
  2. Using fine-tooth comb, part off a section of hair. Start with the front and work your way back. Clip the rest of your strands out of the way. Work with small sections at a time for a longer-lasting hairstyle.
  3. Hold the strand of hair up with one hand. Use your other hand to comb the strands, starting from the ends and working toward the roots. Repeat until the hair looks uniformly teased. Spray with hairspray. Repeat on all sections.
  4. Once all of your hair is teased, lightly go over the top layer with a soft-bristled brush (try using just the ends of the bristles). Spray hairspray all over and add a little shine product to finish.

Focus Tips...

Stay away from bleach. We all love to color our hair, but bleach has a drying-out effect that, when coupled with styling tools, can cause serious damage to your hair.

Go Natural. Avoid extensive use of hot tools like flatirons, curling irons, and blow dryers. These tools can burn ends of hair, causing split-ends and breakage.

Preventing Damage...

Go Natural. .Invest in a dry shampoo for in between washes to keep hair looking clean.
Use conditioner every time you wash your hair to restore moisture. For extreme dryness, try a deep conditioner. Or rub your hair with apple juice.

Go Natural. Most shampoos and conditioners contain harsh detergents that dry out hair, causing breakage. Switch to a sulfate-free shampoo, and avoid washing your hair every day.
